UTSA Sending Another Outstanding Trio to the Turks

4th-year Head Coach Jason Marshall has sent many terrific, developing players to Harrisonburg including fan favorites, R.J. Perucki, Logan Onda and Mike Warren to name a few. This summer the Texas San Antonio Roadrunners are sending three solid players.

Catcher Mason George, infielder Bryan Arias, and outfielder Jason Serchay. All three are batting over .300 with solid on-base and defensive skills.

Bryan AriasArias leads the way at .318, along with 41 hits and 10 RBI’s. Bryan is a 6’0, 185 pound freshman from Marshall HS in San Antonio. There he was a 3-time all-district selection, batted .437 his senior year and a 6A All-State 3B . He was also a member of the Honor Society.

 

 

At catcher, George is a 5’9, 190 pound transfer from McLennan Community  College College Mason George(Waco,Texas) who was recognized as the best catcher playing in the NJCAA World Series. Now a junior, he is batting .305 with 40 hits and leads the Roadrunners with 13 doubles and a disciplined .404 on-base percentage. With just one error on the season, George is
also a premier defensive catcher.

 

Jason Serchay

Outfielder Jason Serchay also brings a successful prep and college profile. At 6’1 and 210 pounds, he will bring the most size to the Turks outfield, and with it, a lot of plate discipline. Serchay is a base hitter with 24 of his 27 hits being singles. A transfer from Eastfield College in Dallas, he was 2-time All-Conference.
