The 2017 All Valley Baseball League Team has been released. The Turks had two players named to the 2nd Team; catcher Tony Beam (UTSA) and RHP Mason Studstill (E. FL State).  Beam posted .375 BA in 26 games and 96 at bats, with 9 runs, 36 hits, 6 doubles, 5 walks, and 16 RBI’s. Studstill posted a 2.50 ERA in 36 IP, started 6 of 6 games. giving up 27 hits, 12 runs, 10 earned runs, 19 walks, and 31 strike outs with a 4-0 record. Both Beam and Studstill were named to the VBL South All-Star Team but didn’t play due to Beam’s injury and Studstill was out of town. Both players were also named to the VBL All Star Roster that played in the Southern Collegiate Showcase in Kannapolis, N.C.
