Turks Add a Pair of Boilermakers

Former 1992 Turks third baseman, Mark Wasikowski, the head coach at Purdue University is sending two Boilermakers to play for the Turks this summer. Red-shirt junior, Evan Warden, a right-hand 5’-11” 185 pound infielder is from Kokomo, IN and Bryce Bonner is a sophomore right-hand catcher standing 5’9” 185 pounds from Allen, TX.

Purdue opened their season this past weekend going 3-0 against Western Michigan. Their series against Baylor was cancelled due to weather. Warden was productive and posted a .417 batting average in 12 at bats with 3 runs, 5 hits, 1 double, 1 home run and 2 rbi’s while Bonner had two walks.

The Turks are excited to have reconnected with Coach Waz and look forward to a great working relationship with him as he and his staff rebuilds the baseball program at Purdue. We welcome Evan and Bryce to Harrisonburg for an exciting summer of Valley League Baseball.
