Merejo Returns for Another Season Behind the Plate

Welcome back Elian Merejo looking forward for another exciting season of Turks baseball. Merejo, a 6’1” 200 pound catcher from Orlando, FL had a productive season with the Turks. He posted a .333 batting average with 12 runs and 35 hits. Elian transferred from Eastern FL State to GA State to finish his Criminal Justice major. While at Eastern FL State as a freshman he posted a .337 average, with 21 extra base hits, four homers, 14 doubles and three triples. He had 32 RBI and 35 runs scored. In 2018 for the Titans, he hit .271 with seven homers, 12 doubles and one triple, driving in 32 runs and scoring 39. The senior is looking forward to a great spring with the Georgia State Panthers to get him ready for his summer in Harrisonburg at the VET.
