Daniel Brandon, a 6-0 190 pound, left handed pitcher from Longwood University will be joining the pitching staff for the Turks this summer. Brandon is from  Kenova, West Virginia. The young freshman competed for time on the mound this season and logged in 10.2 innings. He finished the season with a ERA of 5.91 and only allowing 4 hits.  

Brandon lettered in baseball for four years at Spring Valley High School (W.Va.). He was named second team all-state and first team all-conference as a senior after posting 52 strikeouts in 28.0 innings pitched with a 2.13 ERA and just 18 walks allowed

The Longwood Lancers finished their season at 17-37 and lost their first game in the Big South conference Tournament.
