Harrisonburg, Va., June 10, 2005- Harrisonburg pounded Front Royal’s pitching hammering out a season-high 13 hits, to be the Cardinals 12-4 on Friday night at Veterans Memorial Stadium. With the win Harrisonburg improves to 4-3, Front Royal falls to 2-4. Both sophomore first baseman Clint Robinson (Troy) and sophomore third baseman Brett Munster (Cal-Berkeley) went 3-for-5, with a double and two RBIs apiece. While sophomore center fielder Lucas Delong (San Francisco) followed by going 2-for-5, a triple and three RBIs on the night. Harrisonburg had a 10-0 lead before Front Royal scored their first run of the game in the top of the sixth inning. Freshman Stephen Ochs (Florida State) pitched six strong innings, allowed one run on three hits, while striking out eight to pick up his second win of the season. Junior Ben Sosebee (Kennesaw State) suffered the loss for Front Royal. Sosebee pitched only 3 2/3 innings, allowing seven runs on eight hits and walking five Turk batters. Sosebee falls to 0-2 on the season. The Turks will remain in Harrisonburg on Saturday, as they will play host to the Wranglers of Luray at Veterans Memorial Stadium with a 7:30 p.m. start.
